If there was one word to describe this wine, it would be “WOW!” The first pour is stunning. This Minervois has legs for days stemming from the clear, deep ruby color. The nose is plummy, backed by vanilla, oak smoke and toast. The mouthfeel is off-dry, grippy and slightly tannic with great structure and balance. The blend is 80% Syrah and 20% Grenache Noir. There are lingering notes of pepper, cedar, clove and cranberry. This wine has so much going on, yet somehow manages to hit all the right notes. We recommend pairing with Szechuan Beef or wild boar stew.
